Retro Apple macOS 7 launched on Steam Deck
An enthusiast under the nickname MigalsNotACat installed the old operating system macOS 7 on a fresh Steam Deck - it did not even need to remove Steam OS.
The idea to launch an old operating system from Apple came to him in 2021. Now that he's got a portable device on hand, he says he's probably the first person to launch a '90s system on Steam Deck.
I don't think it's necessary to say that the system from the 90's will not improve the gaming capabilities of the console. However, seeing a portable device become a portal to the past is very cool and it's a great way to experience a snippet of technology history without having to look for a classic Macintosh.
