Apple Allows Users to Automatically Charge Users When the App Store Subscription Price Increases
Apple has changed the rules for app developers in the App Store with one interesting innovation.
Without user consent
So, the new rule allows you to automatically deduct money from users' cards when the subscription cost changes. Previously, the user had to agree to be charged when the tariffs increased. But Apple believes that this is not very convenient, since the user may not see the notification and forget to give consent - in which case the subscription is automatically canceled.
Now do not be surprised if more money is deducted from the card without your knowledge. True, the innovation includes several conditions: the increase does not exceed $ 50 or 50% more than a full annual subscription costs. For applications with shorter subscription terms, the conditions for automatic renewal are that the increase must not exceed $5 or 50% of the subscription price.
In addition, Apple will send a notification about the increase in the cost of the subscription. You can cancel or restore your subscription at any time.
