Samsung announces One UI Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch4
Samsung announced that on June 2, the company will kick off the One UI Watch beta program for Galaxy Watch4 owners and a beta version of Galaxy Wearable app for your phone. This is perhaps the first time we have seen a beta program for a smart wearable. The offer stands only for South Korean owners at the moment, but eligible owners can apply for the beta release using Samsung's Members app. After June 2, those accepted into the beta will be able to install the beta version of the watch's OS, and will not be able to roll back to the previous version. Additionally, they will not be able to re-apply if they leave the beta program.
One UI is a major update for Samsung smartwatches, bringing with it a new interface and features. The beta program will give users access to the new interface and features ahead of time, but there are some risks involved. Once you enter the program and install the beta software, you won't be able to roll back. You are stuck with the beta version until Samsung releases the stable iteration of the OS. Additionally, you can no longer re-apply if you've entered and then left the beta program. After all, slots are limited and you have to be fast to get in on the future update.
If you're interested in trying out the One UI beta on your Galaxy Watch4, make sure to keep an eye out for the release on June 2. And remember, once you're in, you're in for the long haul!
