Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and Gran Turismo TV series are in production

Sony has announced the development of three new series based on the popular PlayStation franchises. Horizon (Zero Dawn / Forbidden West) will receive its own television adaptation, which will be released by the streaming service Netflix. There will also be a show based on God of War for Amazon Prime Video and a series based on the Gran Turismo line of racing simulations. Where the last one will be released is still unknown. These projects were mentioned during a Q&A session at the presentation for investors IR Day 2022 in the business discussion segment of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

TV adaptations are a part of Sony's strategy at the moment. We already know about full-length movie adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima in development. Also we will see TV series based on The Last of Us by HBO and Twisted Metal headed to NBC's Peacock. The Uncharted movie was released in cinemas at the beginning of the year. The film became a success, grossing over $400 million at the box office.
