Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellites Reach 400,000 Subscribers Globally
SpaceX, in a report by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), announced that the Starlink satellite Internet service already has more than 400,000 subscribers worldwide (both individuals and legal entities). Interestingly, just two months ago there were 250,000 of them, and at the beginning of the year - 145,000. As you can see, Starlink is rapidly gaining a subscriber base.
In a presentation shown to the FCC on May 19, SpaceX said the Starlink service is available in 48 US states, as well as 36 countries. At the same time, the company is exploring the possibility of expanding its business zones in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. And only a very small number of countries in which SpaceX is not going (at least for now) to launch the service. Among them are Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria and Venezuela. SpaceX has launched 2,405 satellites so far, of which 2,374 are operational. Earlier, Elon Musk said that by the end of the current, the entire Earth will be covered by Starlink.
