According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel has signed a 20-year contract with Genius Brands International and POW! Entertainment to license the name and likeness comic book creator. That is Marvel could use Stan Lee using CGI in upcoming films, television productions, Disney theme parks, and more forms of monetization.
“It really ensures that Stan, through digital technology, archival footage and other forms, will live in the most important place, in Marvel movies and in Disney theme parks,” said Andy Hayward, Chairman and CEO of Genius Brands.
Recall that Stan Lee's last cameo was in the film "Avengers: Endgame”, which was released in 2019. Then the actor was added to the picture using computer graphics.
