iOS 16 adds support for Nintendo’s Joy-Cons and Pro Controller
Apple has released an updated version of its mobile operating system iOS 16. It has a ton of new features and capabilities. Including native support for Nintendo gamepads. Support for Nintendo Switch controllers on iOS 16 was revealed by testers who were among the first to try out the beta version of the mobile OS.
iOS 16 supports the Switch Pro controller, as well as Joy-Con - and the devices can be configured individually, as well as switch modes at any time to use them separately from each other, or as a single gamepad.
Also in iOS 16, due to the change of modes, Joy-Con can be used for simple cooperative games on one device. Alson confirmed that iOS 16 internal code update brings support for multiple new game controllers, not just Nintendo ones. It also works with the 8Bitdo, BADA MOGA XP5-X Plus, and the Logitech F710 Gamepad.
