A new film adaptation of Silent Hill should be released in 2023

Director Christoph Hans shot the first part of the film version Silent Hill, which was released in 2006. After many years, he returned to the franchise and in a recent interview said that a new film should be released in 2023. 

In a comment for the French site jeuxvideo Hans tells the following: 

• New Silent Hill - this is a kind of reboot, it has nothing to do with the tapes of 2006 and 2012. The structure of the franchise allows it: almost every part is like a separate series "Twilight Zone", there is little in common between the games and other strong connections 
• The script has already been written, the work on it took the author about a year 
• New Silent Hill filmed for a modern audience, but with insane "respect for the saga" 

jeuxvideo also adds that the film is being prepared under supervision Konami, and among the landmarks are "Babaduk" (2014), "Reincarnation" (2018) and "Solstice" (2019). Other details about the film are not announced
