Motorola launches Moto G62 5G and G42 smartphones
Motorola has introduced two new Moto G models, the 5G-capable Moto G62 and the LTE-ready Moto G42. Both phones will be made available in Brazil shortly and will soon be launched in several European, Latin American, Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern countries.
Moto G62 5G
The Moto G62 5G, which runs on the Snapdragon 480+ and has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, is one of the more unique smartphones in Motorola's stable. There's a 16MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout on the front, while the back features a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide module, and a 2MP macro lens. The phone offers 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage expandable via microSD card.
The Moto G62 5G offers a 5,000 mAh battery and 20W charging support. Android 12 is the operating system on board, with MyUX UI on top. Stereo speakers are included as well as Dolby Atmos support and a side-mounted fingerprint reader that doubles as a power button. There are two color options: Graphite or Green. Pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.
Moto G42
The Moto G42 features a 6.4-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, as well as 16MP front cameras and 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro cams. The Snapdragon 680 processor is under the hood, alongside 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage with microSD slot.
The Moto G42 has a 5,000 mAh battery and 20W charging, as well as stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The smartphone boots Android 12 with MyUX on top. Blue and Rose are the colors available for the Moto G42. At a later date, pricing and availability will be announced.
