Smart band Galaxy Fit3 may be released later this year
Samsung has launched a number of smart bands, despite the fact that the Galaxy Watch series receives most of the attention. Samsung makes more than just smart bands, however. The Galaxy Fit2 was announced in September 2020 alongside the Galaxy Tab A7, but there hasn't been an update since then. That will soon change. This information comes from Samsung's Korean Community forum branch. One user asked when the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 would be available. The answer is either during the second half of this year or during the first half of next year, if there is a delay in the schedule.
The new Fit3 will cost between KRW 49,000 and 50,000. Not surprising, since the same price as the original Fit 2 (KRW 49,500), so the new one should be available at the same time as the old one in your region, such as $60 in the US or €50 in Europe.
There's no telling what new features the Galaxy Fit3 will have. The Fit2 added a larger screen (0.9" to 1.1"), a slightly bigger battery, and improved efficiency, which nearly doubled battery life compared to the original Fit (reaching up to 14-15 days on a single charge). Since it is now over two years old, the Fit2 falls behind rivals that include SpO2 sensors, built-in GPS receivers, and so on.
Keep in mind that this data comes from a community manager, so it may not be completely accurate; product line-up decisions are made by people much higher up in the organization. Anyway, it appears like the band isn't coming with the Galaxy Watch5 debut (which will happen at the same time as the release of the 4th generation foldables), so we can only wait.
