Samsung blocks the activation of "gray" smartphones in Russia

What is known
Samsung was one of the companies that stopped deliveries of smartphones to Russia after the latter invaded Ukraine. The government of the Russian Federation allowed the import of "gray" devices into the country, however Samsung blocks the activation of such devices.
Another problem has been added to the approximately doubled price of "gray" smartphones. When turned on, the phone asks to install SIM- an operator card from the country where Samsung initially installed the device. Cards of Russian operators are ignored.
The problem affects 20% of devices. It is solved in service centers for 5000 rubles ($90 / 2600 UAH). But the submission, processing and execution of the application takes about two weeks.
