Remake XIII will receive a major patch with an updated visual style and much more
A remake XIII became one of the worst projects of 2020. Such a name clearly did not suit Microids - she entrusted the game to a new team, so that they would shovel the unfortunate shooter.
The publisher has published information about the upcoming major update in the Steam, but later deleted the entry. After some time, it was returned to its place, but already with corrections.
For replacement Darguard the French studio came Tower Five. She worked on the update for more than a year to bring to the remake XIII a number of changes and new features, including:
- Improved visual style
- Improved artificial intelligence
- Redesigned interface
- Fixed sound
- Online multiplayer
Point about 30 fps on Nintendo Switch and 60 fps on Xbox series and PlayStation 5 did not move to a new version of the ad. Either the team was unable to achieve stable performance and postponed the add-on for later, or decided to remove the mention of consoles from the announcement for Steam.
We will remind, remake XIII received rave reviews from both critics and players. Among the problems, the quality of the sound, the incomprehensible behavior of enemies and many other things were singled out. There is hope that Tower Five will be able to revive the patient with a life-giving patch - the update will be released on all platforms on September 13.
