Atari will release an immersive interactive documentary about its history
This year Atari celebrates its 50th anniversary. In honor of the anniversary, the current owners of the brand are preparing a special game - Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. Although, it's not even a game, but rather a fancy interactive documentary where you can learn about the story of Atari.
The Atari 50 includes interviews with designers, developers and industry leaders, documentaries, design documents, high-resolution box covers and more than 90 games. You move on them, review materials and play relevant games when their time in history comes.
Atari 50 is associated with number of features:
- The set includes games with arcade machines, eight-bit computers Atari, as well as consoles Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx and Atari Jaguar.
- Games with Atari Lynx and Atary Jaguar will appear for the first time on modern consoles
- The six games are new remakes from the series Reimagined
Games with Reimaginer modernized the team Digital Eclipse. The list of remakes includes:

Swordquest: AirWorld - the final part of the line Swordquest since the 1980s. Team Digital Eclipse reproduced AirWorld inspired by the concepts of the author of the series Toda Fry.

Haunted Houses - a remake of the survival chorus from Atari 2600, only in 3D, with voxels and new levels.

VCTR-SCTR - a mixture of vector type games Asteroids and Tempest.

Neo Breakout - mixture Breakout and Pong with a mode for two.

Quadratank - the first new part of the series Tank since 1978.

Yars' Revenge Reimagined - remake of Yars Revenge from Atari 2600, where you can switch between old and new graphics on the go. The remake was created by Mike Mika, head of Digital Eclipse, who developed the Game Boy Color version of Yars Revenge in 1999.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration will be released in November 2022. Platforms - PC (Steam, EEC), PlayStation, Xbox, Switch.
