Don't wait: the popular Redmi Note 8 smartphone won't get MIUI 13

Everyone has been waiting for the Redmi Note 8 smartphone to receive an update to MIUI 13, but it still will not happen.

Why?

To recap, Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 8 with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 in 2019. The Redmi Note 8 received Android 10 and Android 11 updates. The most interesting thing is that back at the end of last year, China began internal beta testing of MIUI 13 for this model. Yes, it was not available to a wide audience of users, but the internal tests lasted almost 6 months, indicating that the Redmi Note 8 will still be updated.

But now it is reported that a couple of weeks ago, the manufacturer stopped internal tests. Therefore, users will still not see the new firmware.

Also Xiaomiui edition writes that the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu, Mi 9 SE, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9 smartphones will not get the update.
