Ukrainian air defense forces shot down two Kalibr cruise missiles worth almost $2,000,000 fired from a Russian submarine in the Black Sea
Today, July 6, at 3:20 a.m., soldiers of the South Air Command's anti-aircraft missile unit destroyed two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles.
What we know
The relevant message appeared on the page of the command "South" in Facbook. The missiles were flying toward the Mykholaiv region. They were fired from a Russian submarine. It was in the waters of the Black Sea.

Kalibr is a family of cruise missiles developed at OKB-8 (NPO Novator), Russia. The anti-ship cruise missile of this family has a NATO code designation of SS-N-27 Sizzler, and SS-N-30 for engaging ground targets. The cost of one such missile is $980,000. Export versions of the complex are called Club and cost $6,500,000. Depending on modification, the Kalibr missiles can hit targets at ranges up to 2,500 km.
