The Boring Company will accept Dogecoin In Las Vegas Loop

In its recently opened Vegas Loop, the Boring Company's other, alternative business specializing in digging tunnels will take Dogecoin as a payment option, according to CNN. The Las Vegas underground loop is a transportation system utilizing Tesla cars that transports passengers 29 miles beneath the city. The first station, which opened last Friday, is located outside the Las Vegas Convention Centre; however, there will be a total of 51 stations throughout a 29-mile tunnel network.

The Loop is presently free to ride, so individuals will be unable to spend their precious DOGE there. When The Boring Company begins charging for transports, they'll cost $1.50 for a single ride and $2.50 for a day pass. This will be accomplished by scanning a large QR code displayed at the station in practice. Customers who don't want to pay with Dogecoin but do wish to use their credit card may do so.

Dogecoin, a meme cryptocurrency that rose in popularity (and price) last year, has long been a favorite of Musk, who once said that Dogecoin becoming the Earth's future currency would be "the most amusing result."
