July 1, 2022 Airbus A380 Emirates Airline was able to fly for more than 13 hours with a hole in the plating.
What we know
Airbus A380 took off from Dubai and headed to Brisbane. The flight landed successfully in Australia and after landing passengers were stunned to see a huge hole in the hull of the plane.
As the pilots approached the airport, they reported the problem and asked for emergency services to be put on standby. Presumably the hole was caused by a landing gear tire blowout in about 45 minutes of the flight, while the entire route from Dubai to Brisbane took 14 hours.
