WhatsApp develops Mac app with native Apple Silicon support

Meta is developing a new WhatsApp application for Mac computers.

What is known

This was reported by WABetaInfo. The new version will get an updated macOS-style design, as well as native support for Apple branded processors: M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra and M2. Thanks to this, the program will run faster and consume less power. Recall that the current version of WhatsApp is optimized for Intel processors and works on Macs with M-series chips via Rosetta 2 translator.

When to wait

Meta is already testing the new version of the application. The program should be released soon.
