NFT-millionaire lost $150,000 due to a bad joke on Twitter while he was enjoying his $3,000 gain

NFT-collector who owns 57 tokens from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, has lost $150,000. It's another story why you can't joke with money. Even if it's virtual.

What's known

The humorist told his story on Twitter (@franklinisbored). As a joke, the man made a bet of 100 ETH ($150,000) on his new domain Ethereum Name Service. He wanted Twitter-bot to write about the big bet.

One user bought the domain for 1.9 ETH ($3000) While @franklinisbored was rejoicing at the easy money he made, he lost $150,000. The collector forgot to mark his own bet, and the new owner accepted it. As a result, 15 minutes later, the millionaire was $150,000 poorer.

Recall that Ethereum Name Service is a decentralized domain name service that allows users to choose ETH-addresses to store digital assets, including NFC, on the Ethereum network. To word, @franklinisbored registered domain "stop-doing-fake-bids-its-hoestly-lame-my-guy.eth".
