The Turkish Armed Forces received the first batch of SUNGUR man-portable air defense systems.
What we know
Ismail Demir, the head of the Turkish Defense Industry Authority, reported. The MANPADS was developed by Turkish company Roketsan. It is designed to defeat aircraft, helicopters and UAVs. It can be used day and night. The MANP can identify and track targets from long distances.

SUNGUR uses missiles with Imagining Infrared Seeker (IIR) technology. It increases the probability of hitting the target. By the way, another Turkish Portatif Savunma surface-to-air missile is the core of the SUNGUR air defense system.
