Microsoft will return to offline technology conferences in October with Ignite
Microsoft will hold an in-person technology event for the first time since the coronavirus epidemic began more than two years ago. Between October 12th and 14th, Microsoft Ignite, a developer and IT professional conference, will be held in Seattle. “Space will be limited” is how Microsoft describes it.
Attendees will be able to reserve a meeting room with software maker Ignite for free in late August. It will be completely free to attend the event. Microsoft plans in-person events in cities all over the world, with a focal point at the Seattle Convention Center. “The Seattle in-person experience will include highly active and immersive activities at the Seattle Convention Center,” according to Microsoft's FAQs. COVID-19 exposure restrictions and whether masks or vaccinations will be required are not addressed by the FAQ.
Just days before the tenth anniversary of the Surface, Microsoft's Ignite event will take place. On October 26th, 2012, Microsoft debuted its Surface RT tablet line. According to The Verge, Microsoft is considering launching new devices this fall to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of Surface, and it expects to release the 22H2 update for Windows 11 in late September. The main focus of Microsoft Ignite will be on Windows, Office, and Azure updates.
Because of the coronavirus epidemic, Microsoft made all of its internal and external events digital-only in April 2020. Microsoft Build was one of the company's initial digital-only events, and it continued running numerous unique gaming, cloud, and Windows events throughout 2021 that were all virtual.
