Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 rumored to charge faster and use Gorilla Glass Victus+
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 will get Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the cover display and rear panel protection, as compared to the Z Fold3's original Victus, according to leaker Ahmed Qwaider. As for the bigger inner display, we had heard talk of a "Super UTG" material before. At least the new hinge design will minimize the crease.
Additional information was provided by Qwaider. Even though the new Z Fold4 will charge at 25 watts and have a similar 4,270mAh battery capacity as the previous model, Samsung has changed the charging curve in order to speed things up considerably. In our tests, just 33% of the 2021 foldable's battery was charged in half an hour. The Z Fold4 is said to be able to charge up to 50 percent faster than its predecessors.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 will bring substantial changes to the camera department. According to reports, the main camera may rise to 50MP (from 12MP), and the telephoto module will gain a 3x lens (from 2x). The 16MP camera on the cover display and 4MP under display camera are not expected to be improved.
The Z Fold4 will have slimmer bezels on the cover display and a less stretched aspect ratio, according to Samsung. Of course, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (as will the Z Flip4). The Fold is anticipated to hit the market at about the same price as its forerunner last year. The company's official word is expected next week.
