Xbox begins testing family Game Pass subscriptions - so far only in Colombia and Ireland

Residents of Ireland and Colombia will be the first in the world to try the Game Pass Ultimate family subscription. The launch of the Game Pass - Insider Preview program was announced at official Xbox blog.

Four more people will be able to share access to the subscription. Only one person will need to buy a subscription, the other family members must be in the same country.

Current user rates are converted in this case. Xbox gives the following example of the calculation: a Full Moon Ultimate will turn into 18 days of Game Pass - Insider Prebview. To return or switch to another plan, you will have to wait until the family subscription expires. 

In doing so, the subscription will not convert to invited members. They have to either cancel their current plan or wait for it to expire. 

The program's testing period and the cost of the family subscription have not yet been announced.
