Garmin launches flagship smartwatch Enduro 2 for runners and endurance athletes
The Garmin Enduro 2 is the most recent high-end product from the firm, and it's intended for runners and endurance athletes. The watch has solar charging, a 150-hour estimated battery life with GPS on, and a $1,100 price tag. The watch is waterproof up to 10 ATM with 32GB onboard storage capacity for storing up to 2,000 songs. There's even a LED flashlight built in for nighttime training.
The Enduro 2 sports a fiber-reinforced polymer case, with a titanium back and bezel. The 280 x 280 px color touch screen has an AMOLED display and is protected by sapphire crystal for increased durability. A nylon sport loop band is included, but it is also compatible with Garmin's silicone bands. Onboard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ANT+ connectivity are all available.
Enduro 2 adds heart rate (Garmin Elevate v4 heart rate sensor), SpO2, sleep monitoring, and stress measurement to the mix, as well as a slew of fitness-related metrics such as a visual race predictor, topographical maps, grade-adjusted pace, running dynamics, and more.
The Enduro 2's solar charging panel is said to add up to 46 days of battery life while in smartwatch-only mode when factoring in the manufacturer's stated duration. Those values are extended to 550 days using the battery saver mode. The watch includes multiband GNSS with SatIQ, which is a beneficial function that only utilizes the most fuel-efficient GPS signal to extend battery life. Garmin Pay is also supported by this device.
