Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition with new planes, historical models and airports announced, release November 11
During Gamescom 2022 Microsoft announced Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition, the game should feature dozens of new aircraft, including historic, classic airports and more.
Here's What We Know
The first thing the studio announced is the appearance of a real high-capacity Airbus A-310 transport plane. The developers also want to celebrate the past of aviation, and are adding several historical models to the game: the Wright Flyer from 1903, the Curtiss JN-4 Jenny from 1915, the Grumman G-21 A Goose and the famous Hughes H-4 Hercules, also known as the Spruce Goose. In total, the 40th Anniversary Edition will contain 12 new aircraft, 12 helicopters, 12 glider airports and 6 classic commercial airports. The edition will go straight into the Xbox Game Pass library upon release, Nov. 11.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is an aviation simulator famous for its realistic physics, challenging flight controls and a true replica of Earth, where anyone can fly past their home. The game is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox Cloud. And the 40th Anniversary Edition is scheduled for release on November 11.
