Ukrainian Su-27 multirole fighters can now also use AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have expanded the list of aircrafts that can carry American HARM antiradar missiles.
Here's What We Know
AGM-88 HARMs are Raytheon missiles for a number of fighters, including F-4 Phantom II, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F/A-18 Hornet. The Ukrainian Air Force has no such aircraft in service. However, Ukrainian and American specialists Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully integrate AGM-88 HARM missiles into MiG-29 fighters.
Now it has become known that the Su-27 multi-role heavy fighters can also be equipped with AGM-88 HARMs. A photo of Su-27S with two anti-radar missiles has appeared in the web. It was probably made possible at the expense of similar avionics in the Su-27 and MiG-29.
#Ukraine: So far, we have only seen AGM-88 HARM in use with Ukrainian MiG-29 jets.

However, evidence has now emerged showing the powerful Su-27S (Notably in an older color scheme) apparently carrying two HARM missiles; another boost to UkAF SEAD capability. pic.twitter.com/hEmwRO75DG
The Pentagon noted that the main obstacle to integrating Western weaponry is Soviet avionics, which does not support operation of foreign missiles. It is assumed that the specialists deceived the electronics. Thus, the aircraft takes the American AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile for the Soviet air guided missile R-27EP.
