Ukrainian Air Force pilot shot a spectacular video of MiG-29 fighter's combat work and showed the launch of AGM-88 HARM missiles
The Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a spectacular video showing the launch of the AGM-88 HARM missile.
Here's What We Know
The video was shot and edited by a pilot of a MiG-29 fighter jet. The video demonstrates military aviation combat operations in the sky over Ukraine. The video is notable because at about the 20th second the American AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile appears in the frame, and a moment later we see the launch.
Recall that the Air Force of Ukraine did not have aircraft that could use such missiles. We are talking about A-6 Intruder, F-4 Phantom II, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F/A-18 Hornet. However, our specialists managed to integrate the AGM-88 HARM in the MiG-29 fighters with the help of American colleagues. A statement to this effect was made by the US Department of Defense about a week ago.
The official announcement about the transfer of the anti-radar missiles was made on August 19. However, a week and a half before that it was already known that the Ukrainian Air Force used AGM-88 HARMs against the Russian army.
