On the expanses of the Internet there appeared a photo with a rare amphibious armored personnel carrier BTR-4M in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The picture was published by the Telegram channel TyskNIP. The armored personnel carrier was spotted during a counterattack in the Kharkiv region. In total, 5 such vehicles were produced. They were specially created as part of a tender for the Indonesian Marine Corps.
Flashback
BTR-4M is a modified version of the conventional BTR-4. It has 8x8 wheel configuration, 512 hp Deutz engine and NATO standard Allison transmission. The basic version of the BTR-4M is fitted with the BM-7 "Sail" combat module with 30 mm ZTM-1 automatic gun, 30 mm automatic grenade launcher, 7.76 mm PKT automatic rifle and Barrier anti-tank guided missile system. Depending on requirements, the vehicle can be fitted with other weapons for destroying enemy personnel and armored vehicles.
Naturally, the armored vehicle can also have different additional protection.
