iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max tested in AnTuTu - much better than the iPhone 13 Pro, but inferior to Android smartphones

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with Apple's new A16 Bionic mobile processor. A week after the announcement, both smartphones were tested in AnTuTu.

Here's What We Know

Expectedly, the new items were more powerful than their predecessors. At the presentation Apple announced that the A16 Bionic consumes 20% less power compared to the A15 Bionic with the same performance. If you believe AnTuTu, the overall performance of the iPhone 14 Pro compared to the iPhone 13 Pro has increased by 17%. The key advantage is provided by the CPU and GPU - +12.86% and +26.57% respectively.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max scores 18.85% more on AnTuTu than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The performance of the CPU compared to its predecessor is increased by 17%, and the graphics subsystem - by 28.25%. At the same time, the superiority of the Pro Max version over the regular iPhone 14 Pro is not more than 2%.

Apple A16 Bionic is a 4nm mobile processor, which has two "big" and four "small" cores. The graphics subsystem is represented by a 5-core GPU. The new SoC compared to the A15 Bionic has a 6.6% increase in the number of transistors and 8% more operations per second.

Note that Android flagship smartphones on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 already score more than 1 million points in AnTuTu. But the developers of the benchmark a few years ago said that it is incorrect to compare the results of iOS and Android, because the tests are performed using different algorithms.
