DxOMark explained why Xiaomi and other companies refused to send their smartphones for testing

Since its inception, DxOMark has passed through the hands of many flagships and conventional smartphones from different brands. Recently, however, some companies have refused to send their devices for testing.

Details

DxOMark director Frederik Guichard commented on this situation in an interview with Jiemian News. He said that manufacturers do not provide only those smartphones in which they are not confident. After all, a gadget that takes first place in the DxOMark ranking gets a lot of attention from advertisers, and so if a brand does not believe that a smartphone will take first place, it will not send the device for testing.

For example, Xiaomi recently did not send the Xiaomi 12S Ultra to DxOMark, as announced by the company's CEO Lei Jun. But DxOMark experts were craftier and bought the flagship themselves to evaluate its photo capabilities. As a result, Xiaomi 12S Ultra received 136 points - 5 points less than last year's Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

By the way, now the leader of the DxOMark rating is Honor Magic4 Ultimate with 147 points, followed by Huawei P50 Pro (143 points). But we are still waiting to test the new Apple and Huawei flagships.
