Britain will give Ukraine additional MLRS: Expect more M270s on the tracked base of the Bradley BMP
The UK plans to transfer an additional batch of multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
Information about this appeared on the portal of the British Cabinet of Ministers. They do not say what kind of multiple launch rocket systems they are talking about, but it can be assumed that it will be M270. That is the American MLRS on the tracked base of BMP Bradley. It is designed to carry out combat missions of engaging and destroying from closed firing positions at a distance of 2 to 300 km (depending on the projectile). It can be used at any time of day and in any weather conditions. One such launcher can carry up to 12 missiles.
Deliveries of additional MLRSs are most likely scheduled for next year. Incidentally, this year Britain has transferred weapons worth 2,200,000,000 pounds to the AFU. The United Kingdom is the second largest donor of military aid to Ukraine.
