The Ukrainian Air Force repelled two Shahed-136 attacks in 10 hours - six kamikaze drones were destroyed
It seems that the Ukrainian Air Force is slowly but surely beginning to find resistance to the Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed-136, which are actively used by the Russian army.
Here's What We Know
According to the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, six Shahed-136 suicide drones were destroyed in 10 hours by anti-aircraft missile units. The Russian army renamed the drones "Geran-2. Perhaps this is how they want to hide the origin of the UAVs. In the Ukrainian information space they are called "mopeds" because of the characteristic sound of the engine.
On September 26 at about 10 p.m. (EET), anti-aircraft guns of the South Airborne Command shot down three UAVs in Odessa Oblast. One UAV was also destroyed early last night.
Three more kamikaze drones (out of three) were eliminated by Naval Air Defense in the Mykholaiv region at about 8:00 a.m. on September 27. Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down seven ones in 36 hours. Six of them in the last 10 hours.
