Belgium will hand over M2HB heavy machine guns to the AFU, a Belgian version of the American Browning M2

Recently we wrote that Large-caliber machine guns and ammunition: Belgium will give Ukraine a new package of military aid worth 12,000,000 euros. As it turned out, we are talking about the M2HB.

Here's What We Know

The publication Defence24 writes about it. The M2HB is produced by the FN Herstal company. It is essentially the Belgian version of the American Browning M2 machine gun, 12.4mm caliber, which was developed at the end of World War I. The machine gun can be used against infantry, unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, boats and aircraft at low altitudes.

Incidentally, in addition to the M2HB machine guns, Belgium will also transfer ammunition, winter gear, spare equipment, helmets and night vision devices to the AFU. The amount of the new aid package is 12,000,000 euros.
