The Pentagon confirmed that it transferred a new batch of 155-mm M982 Excalibur rounds to the AFU for M777 and PzH 2000, they are GPS-targeted and can hit targets at a distance of up to 60 km
On October 4, the United States announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Four M142 HIMARS with GMLRS ammunition, 32 howitzers, 500 high-precision 155mm shells and 200 MaxxPro armored vehicles - Joe Biden announces $625 million military aid package for Ukraine. The Pentagon has now confirmed that these are M982 Excalibur.

The M982 Excalibur boasts an increased range of up to 60 km. In addition this projectile is directed to the target with the help of built in GPS-sensor.
By the way, the USA transfers M982 Excalibur projectiles to AFU for the second time. The first batch arrived in Ukraine in mid-summer.
