On the launch day, the Overwatch 2 server suffered a massive DDoS attack
Yesterday - October 4 - the launch of the online shooter Overwatch 2 took place.
This significant event for Blizzard Entertainment was marred by detractors who attacked the game's servers.
As a result of the DDoS-attack gamers have faced technical problems, up to the inability to launch Overwatch 2, this information confirms the president of Blizzard Mike Ybarra (Mike Ybarra).
Unfortunately we are experiencing a mass DDoS attack on our servers. Teams are working hard to mitigate/manage. This is causing a lot of drop/connection issues. https://t.co/4GwrfHEiBE

Project Manager Aaron Keller (Aaron Keller) assures that the developers are making every effort to eliminate the existing problem and get the Overwatch 2 servers working properly. However, there has been another attack, which exacerbated the situation.
We're steadily making progress on server issues and stability, as well as working through a second DDoS attack. We're all hands on deck and will continue to work throughout the night. Thank you for your patience - we'll share more info as it becomes available.
