Ahead of the Oct. 6 presentation, Google released a new software update for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL owners.

Here's What We Know

We're talking about the October security patch, which closes many vulnerabilities in the system. According to company documents, this is the latest software for the devices. After that, smartphones will not receive major operating system updates, as well as monthly security patches.

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL debuted in 2019 with Android 10 on board. Right now, the devices run on Android 13.
