Ukraine submitted a request to the U.S. for supplies of air defense systems.
Here's What We Know
General Mark Milley told about it during the meeting of the contact group "Ramstein-6", which was held in Brussels on October 12.
According to General Milley, one of the OSR systems that Ukraine is asking for is Hawk or the upgraded Hawkeye. "This is a medium altitude and medium range system. It is older, but quite effective". https://t.co/MuH2HUhXjS

Ukraine has submitted a request for supplies of the MIM-23 Hawk (Homing All the Way Killer) surface-to-air missile system. This is an American medium-range air defense system. It was developed in 1954-1960 by Raytheon company. In 1960 it was adopted for service and since then it has received many modifications and improvements. The U.S. Army stopped using MIM-23 Hawk in 2002. More than 40,000 MIM-23s were produced.
MIM-23 Hawk is capable of intercepting missiles and aircraft. The probability of hitting the target is 85% (in the I-Hawk modification). The maximum range of the complex is 50 km.
By the way, besides MIM-23 Hawk Ukraine also requested from the USA an improved version of SAM - Hawkeye.
