Overclocker elmor managed to set a world record for overclocking a consumer processor using Intel's 13th generation Raptor Lake 10nm desktop chip.

TheIntel Core i9-13900K is a 24-core chip with eight P cores (Performance) and 16 E cores (Efficient), introduced a few weeks ago. It has 32 threads and a maximum frequency of 5.8 GHz in Intel Thermal Velocity Boost mode. The price of the CPU is $600.

An overclocker from Sweden was able to overclock the CPU to 8,812.85 MHz. This is almost 1200 MHz more compared to the predecessor Core i9-12900K (7676 MHz).

The previous world record was set by AMD FX-8370. The processor of the "red company" was able to accelerate to 8772.78 MHz more than eight years ago. As for Intel chips, the overclocking leader here was the Celeron D 352. In 2013, it reached 8443.7 MHz.
