Ukraine is building the world's first fleet of naval drones, one such unmanned "ship" costing $270,000. It is equipped with a warhead of up to 200 kg and can hit targets at a distance of up to 400 km
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the fundraising for the army through the platform UNITED24.
Here's What We Know
This time UNITED24 raises money for the creation of the world's first fleet of naval drones. We are talking about the very drones that Russian warship... Marine drones struck at least three Russian ships, including the new flagship Admiral Makarov, which replaced the cruiser Moscow a couple of weeks ago. This is an entirely Ukrainian development.
Ukraine wants a total of 100 drones, but at the first stages the money is being raised for 10 devices. One such unmanned "ship" costs $270,000.
The sea drone is equipped with an autopiloting system, video systems, as well as a night vision system and special communication, protected from the effects of hostile means of REB. In addition, the drone has a redundant communication module and a warhead up to 200 kg. The drone can hit targets at a distance of up to 400 km.
