Israel wants to build a long-range stealth combat drone to counter Iran

The Israeli government has informed local drone manufacturers of the need for a new drone.

Israeli authorities believe the country's armed forces should get a new drone to better counter Iran. The UAV will expand the state's attack capabilities in the event of conflict with the enemy.

So far, no requirements for drones have been officially announced, but Breaking Defense sources say that we are talking about a stealth drone with an increased range. Also, the aircraft must be equipped with some kind of "special payload", which would provide the ability to update mission parameters at a long distance.

Another criterion for UAVs, according to Breaking Defense, is to be equipped with lightweight systems with "very powerful warheads." Three combat drones are believed to be involved in the initiative and are in various stages of development.
