Twitter offices shut down until Monday due to mass layoffs
According to media reports, Twitter has started another wave of mass layoffs.
Here's What We Know
The story of complex relations between Elon Musk and the employees of his new acquisition, Twitter, continues.
Recall that Musk has already fired thousands of employees, after which he came to his senses and asked some of them to return to work. Some accepted the offer, but many preferred to refuse it.
On November 16, employees of Twitter offices received a letter in which Musk offered them two options: either they agree to "hardcore" mode of work, or they... quit.
Since "hardcore" work doesn't appeal to everyone, many employees chose to quit. Because of this confusion, Twitter offices won't be open for a few days.
It's hard to say where this will lead, but many of the world's largest brands have already removed their accounts from Twitter pages. Among them there are Balenciaga fashion house, L'Oréal, General Motors and Dyson corporations, GroupM and Omnicom media groups.
Elon Musk himself is not discouraged and posts funny pictures on his Twitter account.
