The first "official" custom firmware for Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro has been released
Despite the fact that Pixel 7 and 7 Pro were released a month ago, there are no custom firmware for it, at least "official" ones. Of course, LineageOS 20.0 has been in development for several weeks, but it is developed by enthusiasts, so we do not take it into account. But everything has changed, as the developers of the popular Paranoid Android ROMs have published the first firmware build.
Of course, hardly anyone will be surprised that a very tiny number of owners of the new Pixel will want to change the official software to custom, but if you like even better control over the device and unique features, this can be great news.
It is worth noting that this is technically a beta version, which means that it may contain critical vulnerabilities or bugs in the system. Because of this, it is now recommended to proceed with extreme caution, even if you have experience installing custom ROMs, or ideally wait for the official stable version of the system.
One of the main advantages is that Paranoid Android Topaz Beta for Pixel 7 series supports OTA updates, so you won't need to run custom Recovery to install future system updates.
If you are interested in the possibility of changing the software on your smartphone and do not want to wait for the release of the stable version, the firmware is already available for download on the developers' website.
