The creators of Celeste announced a two-dimensional platformer Earthblade

The developers of the quite successful platformer Celeste presented their new game at The Game Awards 2022. The game is called Eartblade and is a two-dimensional side-scrolling action game, as it was implemented in Celeste.

The official description from the developers is as follows:

"You are Nevoa, the mysterious child of Fate who finally returns to Earth, in this exploratory platformer from the creators of Celeste. The lush pixel art world of Earthblade offers seamless exploration, challenging combat, and countless mysteries to unravel. Traverse the remains of a ruined world, meet inhabitants, both friends and foes, and piece together the fractured history of Earth."

The game is scheduled for release in 2024. Platforms are not yet known.
