The sloppiness of a Chevrolet employee led to the fact that the public learned ahead of time what the first hybrid Corvette will be. According to official information, one of the company's employees "pressed the wrong button," and images of the car appeared on Chevrolet's official configurator.

Here's What We Know

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray will not only be the brand's debut hybrid car, but also the first all-wheel-drive Corvette. The car will get a wide body and long rear vents. You can also see the dual tailpipes in the style of the C8 model.

The new Corvette E-Ray will be equipped with a 6.2-liter LT2 engine and electric motors. The powertrain is expected to produce 660 horsepower. The car will appear next summer, but for now there is no information about costs.

Note that the release of the new Corvette E-Ray is Chevrolet's first step toward electrifying the iconic sports car. The ZR1 hybrid car will appear in 2024, and the Zora in another year. They will be equipped with 800 and 1,000 horsepower engines, respectively. Also, an all-electric Corvette EV is in development.
