Xiaomi 13 became the world's first smartphones with Micron LPDDR5x RAM, which has a speed of 8533 Gbps
Micron has officially announced that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have become the first smartphones in the world to get the new RAM.
Here's What We Know
South Korean technology giant Samsung introduced LPDDR5x RAM in early 2022. More than six months later, Micron announced its variant of RAM. The company presented LPDDR5x memory in the middle of last month, and it debuted in Xiaomi flagships on Sunday.
The Taiwanese giant says the LPDDR5x was designed with flagship smartphones in mind. The maximum speed of RAM has been increased by 33% compared to the LPDDR5 standard and is 8,533 Gbps instead of 7,500 Gbps.
One of the representatives of Xiaomi has already said that he personally saw the advantage of the new memory. He said smartphones with LPDDR5x process photos faster, translate text using artificial intelligence and generally behave faster.
