"Avatar: The Way of the Water" grossed $850 million in 10 days at the box office - by New Year's Eve the box office will reach $1 billion

As you can see, three countries accounted for nearly half of all revenue. If this pace continues ($85 million per day on average), the film could easily gross $1 billion by the end of the year.

In 2022, only two premieres managed to earn more than $1 billion. These are Top Gun: Maverick and Jurassic World: Dominion.
