Volkswagen introduced the ID.7 sedan at the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2023. The car was wrapped in camouflage, so as somehow hide the design features of the vehicle.

Here's What We Know

Outwardly the car looks like one big QR code. The company had to work hard to achieve such effect. Specialists from Volkswagen have applied four dozens of layers of paint with conductive properties.

Volkswagen ID.7 has got a touch panel with a diagonal size of 15", which is used to control the entertainment system of the car. The car can automatically heat or cool the interior and recognize the owner with the key.

The maximum range of the electric sedan on the WLTP cycle is 700 km. Wheelbase is 2969 mm.

The first production sample Volkswagen ID.7 will appear in the second quarter of this year. Of course, the cost is not specified yet. Assembly of cars for Europe will take place in Germany at the plant in Emden. Production of the ID.4 is also set up there.

Volkswagen ID.7 is the sixth model in the ID range. In total the range will include 10 electric vehicles. All of them will be available before 2026.
