Razer Edge launches in the US: Cloud-gaming Android console with 144Hz AMOLED screen and Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 chip

Razer unveiled the Razer Edge cloud gaming console at CES 2023 in early January and has now started selling the new product.

Here's What We Know

The console has gone on sale in the US. The novelty is available in two versions. The basic one comes with Wi-Fi 6 and costs $399. The top-end one features 5G support. It costs $599. It can be purchased exclusively from the operator Verizon.

The gadget is a tablet with removable Razer Kishi V2 Pro controllers. The device has a 6.8-inch display with AMOLED matrix, 2400×1080 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The novelty runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 processor with active cooling. The chip has been specially developed for the Razer Edge. The device comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The on-board memory can be expanded with a microSD card up to 2TB if desired.

The novelty has a 5-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera, as well as stereo speakers with microphones and THX Spatial Audio support. The set-top box comes with the Android 12L operating system. The device supports the Google Play Store app shop, as well as gaming cloud services Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, Steam Link and more.
