Samsung develops smartwatch with built-in projector

Probably not many people remember, but about 10 years ago Samsung had an interesting smartphone called the Galaxy Beam. Its main feature was a built-in mini projector. Now Samsung seems to have decided to repeat the smartwatch experiment.

Here's What We Know

The new device is described in the manufacturer's patent application. It is a smart watch with a tiny projector built into the end of the case, which includes several lenses and LED emitters lined up in an arc shape.

The projector displays an image on the back of the user's hand. This can be a watch screen, time information, incoming notifications, photo or video. The patent describes that the projector can "display information other than that displayed on the display module".

In addition, there is the ability to adjust brightness and focal length for more comfortable viewing.

For now, this is just a patent, so it's unclear if Samsung will release such a smartwatch.
