Saudi Arabia will build a cube-shaped Mukaab skyscraper with a height of 400 metres and an area like 20 Empire State Buildings
Saudi Arabia has another megaproject planned - the construction of the unusual Mukaab skyscraper.
Here's What We Know
Construction of the skyscraper will be implemented by New Murabba Development Company, which belongs to Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, and the project will be financed by the Saudi Arabia State Investment Fund. The skyscraper will be shaped like a cube with a height of 400 metres. It will occupy 41 place in the ranking of the tallest buildings in the world.
In addition to the height, Mukaab will boast an incredible area of about two square kilometres. According to the developer, the skyscraper can fit 20 Empire State Building. The building will house hotels, shopping malls, offices, theatres, universities, galleries and a large garden. It will be placed on the roof of the building.
When We Can Expect It
If all goes according to plan, Mukaab is expected to be completed by 2030.
